Alone, man, always alone.
My hands are numb, digging through the icy waves of life,
A homeless wanderer on this messed-up road. Destiny’s a demon, never changing tracks.
See, this is how it went down – the good times passed, my crew gone. Each morning, the same old pain hits.
My homies, man, most are ghosts now,
And there’s no one left to spill my guts to.
I swear, sometimes it’s better to keep it bottled up hide your true thoughts in that locked-down box inside your head.
Can’t handle more blows, can’t give those thirsty for drama anything to feed on.
So, I lock down my heart, even though it feels heavy.
It’s how I survived when everything around me fell apart.
Darkness wrapped around my best friend a few months back, and I was left to drift, a broken soul in this frozen ocean. I miss you, Grace.
All I want… is a place to belong, someone who’d get me, you know? A warm spot to escape the chill.
Been there, done that. Those who promised good times – they vanished too.
You realize real quick – when the party’s over, you’re still alone.
And those empty promises? They haunt you worse than any ghost.
My crew’s gone, my kingdom’s dust. No glitz, no gold…
Just the ice in my veins and memories of how things were.
The nights are long, man. You try to sleep, but the past flickers like a broken movie.
See my boys, all smiles, like we owned the world.
Then I wake up, the seabirds are my soundtrack.
And instead of warmth, it’s like hailstorms in my chest.
This pain’s a wave, always crashing down. No escaping it.
Guess that’s why I can’t catch a break, can’t figure this crap out.
My mind races, but all I see is everyone fading out, disappearing…
Whole world’s crumbling, man. What’s the point of anything?
If it’s all gonna end up ruined?
But I gotta’ be strong, but damn it’s hard. No hothead outbursts, no whining…
Have to play the cards you’re dealt, no matter how bad the hand.
So, I wait. Biding my time until I figure out my next move.
Where this broken spirit ends up.
Maybe someday I’ll find some kind of peace.
Some solid ground where everything ain’t so messed up.
Like everyone says… “trust the higher power”, right?
Hope they’re right.
But you know what else? Ain’t no point in crumbling when the world’s already falling apart. Those bad days, the memories – they can’t own me forever. Maybe I gotta learn better ways to fight back, not just survive.
It’s like the wise OG’s always say – “hang on to hope, even when you feel like letting go”. ‘Cause even in the dark, there’s always a chance for a new dawn.
And I ain’t giving up until I find my light.
(dedicated to those feeling lost out there)
